The only catch with owning this town is that no one lives there; but, it would still be pretty neat. NBC News reports the town of Swett, South Dakota is on the market for only a quarter-million. The owner has dropped the price from $399,000, which was originally set in 2014.
As for the town, it comes complete with a tavern, three-bedroom house, and former tire shop. Swett, which is located about a hundred miles southeast of Rapid City, was once home to 40 residents during it’s peak in the 1940s. The town even has its own official sign along the road!
If you’re looking to live on the prairie while owning your own town, the 6 acre community may be the answer!
