TOM HANKS is once again America’s favorite actor, according to the annual Harris Poll. They’ve been doing this for 22 years, and he’s been #1 five times, most recently two years ago.
He’s followed by JOHNNY DEPP and DENZEL WASHINGTON, who topped the poll last year. Here’s the Top 10:
1. Tom Hanks. He came in fifth last year.
2. Johnny Depp. He came in fourth last year.
3. Denzel Washington. He was #1 last year.
4. John Wayne. He was second last year.

9. A tie between Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, who have been in five movies together:
“The Mexican”, “Ocean’s Eleven”, “Ocean’s Twelve”, “Full Frontal”, and “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” . . . although Brad only had cameo roles in those last two.
Brad was third last year, and Julia didn’t make the Top 10.
With Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts returning to the list, Angelina Jolie and Meryl Streep dropped out.
John Wayne was #1 among men, conservatives, and people 70 and older . . . Johnny Depp was the favorite among women and Millennials aged 18 to 35 . . . and liberals showed Denzel Washington the most love.
John Wayne has been dead since 1979, but that hasn’t stopped him from making the Top 10 in each of the 22 years they’ve done the poll. He’s the only actor who’s made the list every year.
