“Rolling Stone” has put together a list of ‘The 40 Greatest TV Villains of All Time.’
They stuck with true adversarial villains, and didn’t include ‘antiheroes’ . . . like Don Draper from “Mad Men”, Walter White from “Breaking Bad”, and Tony Soprano from “The Sopranos”, because they’re central figures “who drive their own stories.”
Here’s the Top 20:
1. Ben Linus from “Lost”. He was played by Michael Emerson.
2. Marlo Stanfield from “The Wire” . . . played by Jamie Hector.
3. Livia Soprano from “The Sopranos” . . . was played by Nancy Marchand.
4. Joffrey Baratheon from “Game of Thrones” . . . played by Jack Gleeson.
5. Bob from “Twin Peaks” . . . played by Frank Silva.
6. Al Swearengen from “Deadwood” . . . played by Ian McShane.
