It’s hard to be fashionable when you’re in your 20s. You know . . . because it actually requires money. Oh, and a little life experience and sophistication and all that. But mostly money.
A new study found the average age when people are the most fashionable. And for both genders it’s the intersection of when you can AFFORD it and you’re still young and hip enough to pull it off.
Women hit their fashion peak at 30. Men get there at 36.
The study also found the average woman owns $11,000 worth of clothes, shoes, and accessories when they’re 30.
Men own $12,600 worth of clothes, shoes, and accessories when they hit their peak at 36.
By the time women hit 50, the cost of their wardrobe drops about $2,800. By the time men hit 50, it drops by $5,800.
