A 54-year-old guy in Massachusetts named Michael Vaudreuil lost everything after the economy tanked in 2007.
He owned a plastering business that went under. And within about six months, he and his wife lost their home, their car, and went bankrupt.
And the only job he could find was working as a janitor at a private college called Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
It didn’t pay that well, but it came with one pretty cool perk. Employees get FREE TUITION.
So he enrolled after his job started, and worked nights so he could go to class during the day. And this past Saturday, after eight years, he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering.
Michael says it was one of the best days of his life. And on the top of his cap at the commencement, he wrote the phrase, “Old dog has new tricks.” (Fox2Now)
