There’s a 31-year-old woman in San Francisco named Jillian Sobol, who was abandoned as a baby.
Back in 1984, someone found her in the laundry room of a dorm at San Francisco State University, right after she was born. Her mom might have been a student there, but we’re not sure.
Luckily a 21-year-old nursing student named Esther Wannenmacher took care of her until the paramedics got there. Then Jillian was adopted, and grew up in a good home. And check this out . . .
Last month, she graduated from the SAME university.
She says she didn’t go there because of her backstory, she just wanted to study hospitality and tourism management, and they had a good program. She didn’t even tell anyone at the school about it until earlier this year.
But it gets even better, because the nursing student who found her is 53 now, and came to the graduation. Jillian also tracked down her biological father a while back, and he was there too. Apparently she still hasn’t met her real mother yet, but she’s planning to.
