While trying to figure out a last minute Halloween costume or buying candy for trick-or-treaters this weekend, it is also good to remember these safety tips while celebrating this weekend. According to WCIA online, the biggest reminder is to be aware while driving since some kids tend to wander into the street sometimes. If your kids are wearing dark costumes make sure they carry a flashlight or have something bright on them, to be able to spot easily. Another thing is to check your kid’s candy bags before they eat any of the candy. Just to make sure nothing was tampered with or even if fruit was given instead of candy to not eat it right away as that also could not be as safe as it should be. And as always if a candy is already opened do not try to eat it just throw it away. Have fun and stay safe this Halloween!
