While you watched the game yesterday, did you drink beer, wine, liquor . . . or just mix all three, and wake up in the bathtub?
According to a new survey, beer is still our top choice when we drink alcohol, but wine and liquor aren’t far behind. Here are four stats about America’s drinking habits . . .
1. 38% of Americans say beer is their favorite drink. Wine is next at 31%, and then liquor at 28%. 55% of men said beer. Wine was the top choice for women at 46%.
2. 38% of beer drinkers prefer regular domestics, like Budweiser or Miller Lite. 29% prefer craft beer, and 23% go for imports, like Heineken.
3. We prefer red wine over white, but it’s close. 38% of wine drinkers said they prefer red . . . 32% said white . . . 19% said rosé or blush . . . and 10% said champagne.
4. Our favorite liquor is vodka with 29% of the vote. Whiskey is a close second at 26% . . . then rum, 16% . . . tequila, 8% . . . and cognac, 7%.
Vodka is twice as popular with women. 38% said it’s their favorite, compared to just 19% of men. Whiskey is more popular with guys . . . 40% said it’s their favorite liquor, compared to just 14% of women.
