(Fire Island, NY) — In New York, Islip Town officials are reopening Fire Island beaches today following two suspected shark attacks. A 13-year-old boy was bitten on Wednesday, a tooth lodged in his leg, at Atlantique Beach. Fifteen minutes earlier, a 12-year-old girl at Sailors Haven Beach was treated for bite marks on her leg after seeing a shark fin in the water.
