The holiday season is just around the corner and plans are well underway for the 20th annual Festival of Trees at Sarah Bush Lincoln. Beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths and home decor will once again adorn the Lumpkin Family Center for Health Education this November 15, 16 & 17.
The 2018 Festival will include cash-and-carry items such as fresh wreaths and centerpieces from Hager Tree Farm in Charleston; employee-decorated tabletop trees and wreaths; an expanded retail section and themed gift packages. A silent auction of 4-foot trees, centerpieces and home décor, and Cookies with Claus, an area designed just for children, will round out the event.
The highlight of the Festival will be our Saturday evening Gala featuring a cocktail hour, gourmet dinner and live auction of trees, wreaths and specialty items, all designed by area individuals or groups to support construction of the new Cardiology Center. Last year’s event raised more than $120,000 and Gala tickets were a quick sell out — we expect nothing less in 2018.
