(Union, NJ) — Bed Bath & Beyond plans to close and open dozens of stores this year. The home goods chain said during an earnings call this week that it will close at least 40 stores, but plans to open 15 new locations. The company said it will close more stores if it can’t negotiate better lease terms. Bed Bath & Beyond closed 21 stores and opened three during the fourth quarter of last year. The company has more than 15-hundred stores nationwide, including Bed Bath & Beyond, World Market, Harmon Face Values, Buy Buy Baby, and Christmas Tree Shops.
