Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader said the woman who prompted schools in and around Denver to close today was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Pais caused a massive scare across the Denver area after the FBI learned she flew to Denver from Miami and purchased a shotgun. She was reportedly obsessed with the Columbine High School shooting.

(Clear Creek County, CO) — The woman at the center of a manhunt in the Denver area is dead. Authorities say 18-year-old Sol Pais was found in Clear Creek County near Echo Lake Lodge. (Littleton, CO) — The FBI says Sol Pais is “no longer a threat.” Multiple reports say the woman obsessed with the Columbine High School shooting is dead. It is unclear whether Pais was killed by police or found deceased. Pais was reportedly located in Clear Creek County, Colorado.
