A’s Outlast White Sox
(Oakland, CA) — Chad Pinder scored the walk-off run on a throwing error as the A’s outlasted the White Sox 3-2 in Oakland. Ramon Laureano grounded into a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the ninth, but Chicago shortstop Jose Rondon overthrew second base and Pinder raced around the bases for the winning run. Laureano tied the game with a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh. Liam Hendricks earned the win as Oakland completed the series sweep. Reynaldo Lopez tossed six frames of one-run ball for the White Sox, and Jace Fry took the loss without recording an out. Eloy Jimenez homered in defeat.
