A Greenfield, Indiana man faces multiple charges in a crash that killed a Shelbyville man. Illinois State Police say 50-year-old Christopher Wood ran off Route 16 to the right, over-corrected and slid across the median into the eastbound lanes. A 49-year-old Shelbyville man, who was eastbound, struck Wood’s truck in the passenger side. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt. Wood was ticketed for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper use of registration, no valid registration, and failure to wear a properly adjusted seatbelt. The accident occurred at 4:53 this morning, about a mile east of Shelbyville.
