EIU’s Lariah Washington is the OVC Freshman of the Week for the second straight week. Washington’s past week saw her averaging 22.5 points per-game, and shooting over 50% from the field. Washington also grabbed 5.5 rebounds per-game.
Against Murray State, Washington scored the second most points by a freshman in EIU women’s basketball history with 35 points.
Washington is averaging 14.3 points along with a team high 5.8 boards per-game since conference play has started. Overall for the season, she is averaging 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds.
