IHSA Boss Questions If High School Football Will Happen This Fall
(Bloomington, IL) — Friday night lights may be the next thing to be canceled because of the coronavirus. Craig Anderson, the head of the IHSA, yesterday said it appears to be difficult to start high school football in the fall. Anderson says the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education are discouraging contact because of the coronavirus. You can’t have football without contact. Football practices can start in Illinois on August 10th. Anderson is not saying when a decision about this year’s season will be made.
