If Kim Kardashian does file for divorce from Kanye West, who will get what? According to Page Six, the couple's financial situation has changed a lot since they married in 2014. Kanye is now worth $1.3 billion and Kim is worth $780 million. The couple's prenup guarantees that Kim gets $1 million for every year of marriage. She also gets to keep all of the gifts that Kanye gave her, including her million dollar engagement ring.
It’s unclear if Kim gets to keep includes the “$5 million in art, nearly $4 million in vehicles and $3.2 million in jewelry” that Forbes has reported they own together.
Beverly Hills lawyer Joseph Mannis of Hersh Mannis LLP told the site, “If they haven’t kept things separate, God knows what happens with the accounting issues. That could be a gigantic pain in the neck to figure out what you’re doing."
As far as custody of their four children, Aimee Gold, a high-profile family lawyer in Los Angeles, told the site that the courts will likely start with both parents getting "50/50" physical custody. Gold added that each camp could litigate for more time if they prove that a situation would be “detrimental to the kid,” like if one parent will be away on tour for a year."
KANYE WEST'S FORMER BODYGUARD SLAMS TIKTOK STAR'S HOTEL CLAIMS
In other news, Kanye's former bodyguard Steve Stanulis has sent TikTok star Cole Carrigan a cease and desist letter last week after Carrigan claimed that he spent the night with Kanye in November and his bodyguard helped to set up the rendezvous.
According to Page Six, in one clip, Carrigan posted screenshots of his alleged direct message exchange with the bodyguard, and said, “I obviously can’t say much… I don’t want a lawsuit from Kim Kardashian West, but these are literally the DMs from the security guard — well, ex-security guard — that reached out to me before we started texting, so that’s all I’m going to say on that.”
In another clip, Carrigan claimed that he first met Kanye at a party in Bel Air, California back in May, before getting messages from the ex-bodyguard. Carrigan said, “He asked if I remembered him from the party and he said that Ye wanted to meet me tonight.” He added that the bodyguard arranged arranged transportation to the hotel, and sent him a non-disclosure agreement.
Stanulis said that he has never met or spoke to Carrigan and said that he only worked for Kanye back in 2016 and in New York City. Stanilus' headshot from his Instagram page as well as his name on the top, was included in one of Carrigan's clip.
In a legal letter to Carrigan, Stanulis’ lawyer, Dmitriy Shakhnevich, wrote that photos of “As you know, these images are not authentic, and the statements you made are completely and entirely false. In fact, our client hereby denies ever meeting you, speaking with you or, more broadly, even knowing of your identity prior to January 7, 2021.” The letter added, “As such, our client denies, in the strongest terms, all of these false and defamatory statements involving his name and likeness.”
The ex-bodyguard’s legal team wants Carrigan to stop posting about him, and is also demanding an apology to Stanulis, as well as to West and Kim Kardashian, “for publishing defamatory statements that you knew were false.”
