ARLINGTON, Texas-
B.J. Thomas, five-time Grammy award winner and Grammy award Hall of Fame inductee passed away earlier today at the age of 78 due to complications from stage four lung cancer.
Thomas’s career spanned multiple genres, earning him numerous accolades since his rise to fame in the 1960s. Known for hits such as his cover of Hank Williams’ ‘I’m So Lonely I Could Cry’ and the iconic ‘Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head’ and ‘Hooked on a Feelin,’ he sold over 70 million albums worldwide, landing eight No. 1 hits throughout his 50+ years in the music industry.
Survived by his wife Gloria of 53 years as well as his three daughters and four grandchildren, Thomas will be remembered as one of the greatest entertainers of his generation.
