Board Approves of Morgan to Solve Administrative Equation
CHARLESTON, IL – Beth Anne Morgan of Charleston, Illinois will assume the position of Carl Sandburg Elementary School Assistant Principal for the Charleston Community Unit School District #1 effective July 1, 2022. The Board approved Morgan at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Wednesday evening.
Currently serving as a mathematics teacher at Charleston Middle School, Morgan brings a variety of experiences and a leadership style that will support the needs of Carl Sandburg Elementary School.
Morgan has enjoyed serving the students of Charleston Middle School and looks forward to a new educational leadership role in the Charleston schools. “Charleston Middle School has been my home since 2007, and I will definitely miss my colleagues there. Through the years, the students have given me the most joy, and I now look forward to serving students in a new way in our school district,” Morgan said. “I am grateful to have an opportunity to begin an administrative career in the Charleston school community. The support I have experienced here has been incredible, and I want to provide others with the kind of support I’ve had through the years.”
A native of Flora, Illinois, Beth Anne graduated from Flora High School and achieved an Associate’s degree from Lake Land College and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Eastern Illinois University. Beth Anne has served as a mathematics teacher at Charleston Middle School since 2007. She also taught mathematics and served as a student intervention consultant at Charleston High School during the 2006-2007 school year. During those years, she also coached volleyball, basketball, and softball. She has experience as a Team Leader at CMS and has served on the school’s committees.
