Garth Brooks: Reveals “Anthology, Part II: The Next Five Years” Cover – Limited Edition On Sale Now!
Garth Brooks has officially revealed the cover for The Anthology, Part II: The Next Five Years…and The Limited Edition is on sale now!
Available exclusively on TalkShopLive, The Next Five Years offers a front-row seat to some of the biggest events in music history, as told by Garth and the people who were there when they happened! It picks up where Garth left off in The Anthology, Part I: The First Five Years, telling his story in his own words and offering fascinating insights to his career and personal life from 1996-2001…and takes an in-depth look at the stories behind the songs and recording sessions for Fresh Horses, Sevens, The Limited Series, Double Live, and Scarecrow.
“I’m always surprised at the stuff I learn,” Garth says, explaining, “People are always surprised when I tell them that I learn stuff from these Anthologies. What they don’t realize is that this story’s being told by hundreds of voices that were there when these things were happening! Mine is just one of them.” (AUDIO 1)
Interviews and recollections throughout The Next Five Years shed light like never before on moments and music from the period it covers. “The interviews just floored me!” Garth admits, citing a couple examples. “The stuff from Bob Dylan, when they interviewed him. I couldn’t believe the things I heard him say! Keith Urban – same way. When we met, I knew what I thought. I didn’t know what Keith thought! Until this Anthology.” (AUDIO 2)
Completing the Anthology, Part II is a six-disc set of musical highlights from albums released during that time – you’ll hear them all in a new way after reading about the inspiration for the songs and how the magic was created in the studio. Anthology, Part II also includes previously unreleased recordings!
On August 1, people can join Garth live in his studio on TalkShopLive to hear some of the stories that are included in the Anthology, ask him questions and maybe even hear some new music! RSVP here.
Perhaps Trisha Yearwood says it best. “The way I see it, Garth spent the first five years of that crazy ride just hanging on for dear life!” she notes in Anthology, Part II. “In the second five years, you start to see a captain steering his own ship.”
