SAIL Personal Assistant Training
SAIL, Soyland Access to Independent Living, is hosting a Personal Assistant Training on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Marshall Public Library located at 612 Archer Ave. Marshall, IL 62441. The names of attendees who successfully complete the training will be placed on the Personal Assistant State Registry. People with disabilities, who are living independently and wish to hire a personal assistant, can request a P.A. Referral List to identify prospective employees for hire. P.A.s working through the Department of Rehabilitation Services’ Home Services Program are currently making $18.25 an hour. Anyone 18 years of age or older and interested in working as a personal assistant is welcome to attend this training. Face masks are optional.
