Justin Roley Honored as Mattoon Chamber Ambassador of the Year
Mattoon, IL – Justin Roley, Commercial Lender at Washington Savings Bank, was named the Mattoon Chamber Ambassador of the Year during the Mattoon Chamber Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet.
Presented annually by the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce, the Ambassador of the Year award recognizes an individual who demonstrates outstanding volunteerism, actively participates in Chamber events, and serves as a strong advocate for the local business community.
Roley’s involvement with the Chamber has been both consistent and impactful. During his tenure, he has been a visible presence at a wide range of events, including Business After Hours gatherings, ribbon cuttings for new and expanding businesses, Chamber breakfasts, and the annual Business Expo.
As a Chamber Ambassador, Roley also plays an important role in strengthening relationships among businesses, encouraging engagement, and fostering an environment where local organizations can grow and thrive.
“Our ambassadors are crucial to our success; they provide much-needed assistance and serve as frontline representatives at all of our events,” said Carolyn Cloyd, Executive Director of the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce. “I think one of the best parts of the Ambassador of the Year award is that it is the ambassadors themselves who choose that person from amongst their ranks, which makes this award very meaningful. We congratulate Justin Roley on being named the Chamber Ambassador of the Year; it is well deserved.”
Roley’s commitment to service is also reflected in his professional role. As a Commercial Lender, he works closely with local businesses to understand their goals and provide financial solutions that support long-term success. He is also actively involved in financial literacy initiatives, volunteering his time to help educate local students and strengthen financial confidence within the community.
“Receiving this award at the Annual Dinner was truly a surprise—and one of the few times I found myself at a loss for words,” said Justin Roley. “I know the excellent caliber of people that serve as ambassadors, so to be selected by that group is truly humbling. It almost feels a little unfair to be recognized for something I genuinely enjoy—attending great events and building relationships with such an incredible group of people. I’m grateful to the Mattoon Chamber for allowing me to be a small part of it.”
