Lake Land Baseball Coach Julio Godinez Heading to Lewis University

The Lake Land baseball program has reached new heights in recent years. In 2025, the Lakers placed fourth in the nation at the NJCAA World Series. That team racked up 45 victories in route to the best finish in team history. After another strong season in 2026 (39-18), Lake Land will be looking for a new head coach. Julio Godinez has accepted the head baseball coaching position at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. Lewis is an NCAA Division II school. Godinez spent seven seasons at the helm of the Lake Land baseball program.
