Bears Miss Out On Duce Staley As Ex-Eagle Assistant Joins Lions
(Chicago, IL) — The Bears lose out on hiring an assistant coach they had their sights on. Former Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley is now going to another NFC North team. He agreed yesterday to join the Detroit Lions as their associate head coach and running backs coach. The Bears, who lost running backs coach Charles London to the Falcons last week, were interested in hiring Staley. He worked with Bears head coach Matt Nagy as Eagles assistants early last decade.
