Sunday marks the beginning of Severe Weather Preparedness week, and the National Weather Service has a few steps they want you to remember.
They say stay informed, have an emergency plan, prepare yourself and your home for emergencies, and have an emergency supply kit.
They say being prepared ahead of time saves lives in severe weather such as tornadoes, lightning, and flooding.
