Despite reports saying that Kanye West's catalog is for sale, Ye has responded to those claims, saying these reports are false.
The rapper wrote on his Instagram Story on Tuesday (September 20th), “Just like Taylor Swift … My publishing is being put up for sale without my knowledge … Not for sale.”
In another IG Story post, Kanye shared a screenshot of a direct message conversation between himself and an unnamed person to ask his former manager, Gee Roberson, about the attempts to sell the rights to Kanye's music.
The person responded, “From Gee … Fake news … Of course every publisher wants to pitch their hardest to buy. SMH.”
Billboard initially reported a claim that the rapper was looking to sell his publishing for $175 million.
