Rep. Miller Votes to Stop the Biden Border Crisis
May 11, 2023
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WASHINGTON –After joining as a cosponsor of The Secure the Border Act, Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) released the following statement on her vote to restore significant border security measures established during the Trump Administration, with the aim of putting an end to the Biden Administration’s ongoing Border Crisis:
“Today, the House passed a bill I proudly co-sponsored to secure our border and end the Biden Border Crisis. Joe Biden is violating his oath to defend our nation’s borders and uphold our immigration laws. Biden and “Border Czar” Kamala Harris have given criminal cartels operational control of our border, which has allowed the cartels to make billions of dollars by trafficking seven million foreign nationals and historic levels of deadly fentanyl into our country. I co-sponsored H.R. 2, which will reinstate important Trump Administration border security measures by resuming construction of the border wall, hiring more border patrol agents, and ending the “catch-and-release” of foreign nationals into our country. Fentanyl is the number one killer of young Americans, and while Americans are suffering from the crime and chaos caused by illegal immigration, JB Pritzker is planning to stick taxpayers with a $1 billion bill to pay for healthcare for illegal immigrants. House Republicans are putting America first by securing our border to stop this nightmare, but the Senate must now act.”
