New at AMC Showplace 10 Theaters in Mattoon this weekend:
- “Money Monster“ (R)
George Clooney plays the host of a popular TV show about stock tips called “Money Monster”. And he gets taken hostage ON AIR by a guy with a gun, who lost all his money on a bad tip.
Julia Roberts plays the show’s producer, and it was directed by Jodie Foster. It has mixed reviews on Metacritic, but given the two main stars, it can’t be that bad?
- “The Darkness“ (PG-13)
A horror movie just in time for Friday the 13th. Kevin Bacon takes his family to the Grand Canyon, and his kid steals an artifact from a Native American site.
And as ANYONE who’s EVER seen ANY horror movie EVER knows . . . that’s a terrible idea.
