This is a blatant case of false advertising right here.
There’s a guy who hangs out in Times Square in New York, and takes pictures with tourists for tips. He’s 24, and his name is Jermaine Himmelstein.
But he doesn’t dress up as Elmo or anything cool . . . he just has a sign that says “Free Hugs.”
Well, on Thursday, a 22-year-old woman from Ottawa, Canada took him up on the offer. But she thought a “free hug” was REALLY free. So after their hug, she didn’t give him any money.
Jermaine wasn’t happy about that, so they wound up getting into an argument after the hug. And it ended when Jermaine PUNCHED her in the FACE.
So he was arrested for robbery and fraudulent accosting.
