A new study out of New York University found that opposites DON’T actually attract.
The researchers studied almost 5,000 married couples, and found that people tend to gravitate toward someone who’s pretty similar to them.
The study looked at four different traits: Level of education … height … body mass index … and depression.
And they found that we usually wind up marrying someone who’s pretty similar to us in most of those categories, or maybe even all of them.
The researchers say it isn’t a new development either … and the idea of opposites attracting is a myth.
Apparently people have ALWAYS looked for someone who’s similar to them, whether they realized it or not.
