Mattoon Earns Baseball Split with Charleston

In the second game of a home-and-home Apollo Conference baseball series, Mattoon beat Charleston, 5-1. Matt Miller tossed a complete game on the mound for the Greenwave. Miller allowed only three hits in the victory. He walked three and struck out one. Wyatt Gordon had two hits and a run batted for the Trojans. The teams split the two games with each road team posting the wins. Mattoon is now 1-7 in the Apollo while Charleston slipped to 4-4.
