A recent study by Public Policy Polling has revealed an interesting new development in the 2016 presidential race. Given the choice between Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, or…a giant meteor hitting the earth. The meteor is doing surprisingly well in this race. 43% said they would pick Hillary, 38% chose Donald, and an astounding 13% went for the giant ball of dust and ice hitting us.
To put that in perspective, if the survey represented the entire U.S. population, over 42 million Americans would have voted for the entire world to be destroyed by a meteor rather than see either Trump or Hillary as president. Thankfully it doesn’t, nor can we actually vote on meteor hitting us at this time.
7% of people polled were still undecided, though it’s unclear what they’re deciding. Are they choosing between Trump and Hillary, or those two and the destruction of humanity?
