Kylie Minogue is heading back to Melbourne for one of Australia’s biggest sporting events. The AFL announced that the pop star will headline the pre-game entertainment at the 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on September 26.
The performance will mark Minogue’s first appearance as an AFL Grand Final entertainer. In announcing the booking, the league highlighted her long international career and her connection to Melbourne, where she was born and began her rise to fame.
Minogue is expected to perform in front of around 100,000 spectators at the MCG, with a much larger audience watching the event on television. She has sold more than 80 million records worldwide and has earned major awards throughout a career spanning several decades.
Her appearance also brings an Australian artist back to the headline slot. Recent Grand Final entertainment has featured international performers including Robbie Williams, KISS, Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg.
Additional entertainment for Grand Final Day is expected to be announced closer to the event.
