This story is tragic but also absolutely incredible.
A fire broke out at a house in Baltimore last week where a woman named Erika Poremski lives with her eight-month-old daughter Viviana.
And Erika couldn’t get upstairs to save her daughter because the smoke was so heavy. She even burned herself trying.
But their dog Polo was upstairs, and he ran into the bedroom and shielded Viviana from the fire with his body. Erika says he could’ve escaped . . . but he chose to stay behind and protect the baby instead.
By the time firefighters got upstairs, Viviana was still alive thanks to Polo . . . but tragically, he died from all the burns he got.
Erika says she’s devastated over his death . . . but eternally grateful to him for sacrificing himself for her daughter.
