Stress eating is one of the BEST excuses for eating junk food. It’s right up there with “I just worked out so it’s fine” and “Technically French fries are a vegetable.” Which is why this is so disappointing.
A new study in the journal “Biological Psychology” found that there’s no such thing as stress eating. In fact, we’re more likely to eat a lot when we’re in a GOOD MOOD, and eat less when we’re anxious.
So if you find yourself “stress eating,” it’s probably not for comfort . . . it’s probably just because you kind of want to eat a bunch of food and need an excuse.
