“The Lion King” is the latest Disney classic being given a live-action makeover. Although in this case, “live-action” might not be the right word . . . since it’ll probably be mostly computer animation.
It’s being directed by JON FAVREAU, who also did the “Jungle Book” remake. That one was a huge hit, and there’s a sequel on the way.
Disney says, quote, “The upcoming ‘Beauty and the Beast’, starring Emma Watson as Belle, is already one of the most anticipated movies of 2017. Like ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘The Lion King’ will include songs from the animated film.”
