Pregnancy-Related Depression Affects Fathers
(Auckland, New Zealand) — Pregnancy-linked depression can affect fathers too. That’s according to a new study from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. It found that mothers aren’t the only ones susceptible. Hundreds of men interviewed said they experienced depression both during and after their partner’s pregnancy. The study found that men who are in poor health are more likely to experience pregnancy-related depression. The research appears in the journal “JAMA Psychiatry.”
