Bird Stepping Down As Pacers President
(Indianapolis, IN) — Larry Bird is done as the president of the Indiana Pacers. “The Vertical” reports the 60-year-old is stepping down from the position, with Kevin Pritchard taking over. Bird was the head coach of Indiana from 1997 to 2000, then became president of basketball operations until retiring in 2012. After a year away, he returned to that role in 2013. Bird starred in college at Indiana State, then went on to a Hall of Fame playing career with the Boston Celtics.
