A woman in Massachusetts hit the Powerball jackpot for $758 million last week. But a bunch of other people won smaller jackpots too.
There’s a woman in Connecticut named Johanna Moreno who matched five out of six numbers . . . 6, 7, 16, 23, and 26. The only one she missed was the Powerball.
And her numbers weren’t random. She specifically picked them because she has six kids, and those are their BIRTHDAYS.
Obviously a lot of people use their family members’ birthdays for their lotto numbers . . . including the woman who won $758 million jackpot. But it’s still pretty rare to hear about it actually working.
Johanna says when she saw the winning numbers online, she knew she’d won. She didn’t even need to check her ticket.
Five out of six numbers was good enough for a MILLION BUCKS. She says she’s planning to use some of it to buy a car . . . a new house that’s big enough for her family . . . and she also wants to go back to school.
