Indiana Man Arrested In Edgar County For Impersonating Police Officer
(Paris, IL) — An Indiana man is facing charges in Edgar County for allegedly impersonating a federal agent, but the real cops say it could have been much worse. Deputies arrested 40-year-old Justin Hefner on Saturday after they say he walked into their office and asked for help making an arrest. Authorities in Edgar County say they were already on the lookout for Hefner because of threats that he posted online. After some talking and an invitation to work with the police, deputies say they were able to lock Hefner up. They say they found a loaded rifle in his car, he was wearing a bulletproof vest and he was carrying a BB gun.
