(Los Angeles, CA) — A top network news anchor who spent the early part of his career in Los Angeles will be honored during the 60th Southern California Journalism Awards Gala. Lester Holt of “NBC Nightly News” is scheduled to receive the Joseph M. Quinn Award for Lifetime Achievement during ceremonies that will be held June 24th at the downtown Biltmore Millennium Hotel. Press Club president Chris Palmeri says Holt is being recognized for his “tireless reporting around the world” that’s “an inspiration to journalists everywhere.” The Northern California native joined NBC News in 2000 after working 14 years at the CBS stations in Chicago, New York and L.A.
