Windsor/Stew-Stras star Calla Roney has been named first team All-State in softball. Roney led the Hatchets to the state championship, winning 15 games while striking out 203 batters in 120 innings and posting an E.R.A. of 1.05. She also batted .459.
Teammates Megan Schlechte and Mackenzi Tabbert made second team, along with Okaw Valley’s Natalie Jeffers, and Cumberland’s Libby Dunaway and Madison Hendrix and Abbie Dart, of Oblong.
Okaw Valley’s Grace Harlin earned third team honors, as did Katie Kabbes of St. Anthony, the Oblong trio of Camryn Travis, Summer Johnson and Samantha Johnson, and Reagan Cheely of Villa Grove-Heritage.
In Class 2A, Flora’s Sydney Cammon earned first team honors, Casey-Westfield’s Lindsay Beasley made second team, along with Isabelle Shelmadine of Tuscola, and Flora’s Kasey Jennings, Claire Maulding and Mackenzie Morgan of Casey-Westfield were named to the third team, along with Regan Miller from Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, Ashtyn Clark of Tuscola, and Gracey Himelick and Skylar Freeman of Flora.
