Doctors Warn Not To Microwave Kids’ Food In Plastic Containers
(Undated) — Doctors are warning parents not to microwave their kids’ food in plastic containers. The American Academy of Pediatrics is out with a report that says heating plastic in a microwave or washing plastics, including bottles, in dishwashers raises the chance of leaking dangerous chemicals. The report also says parents should avoid foods in packaging with recycling codes 3, 6, and 7. The doctors recommend glass or stainless steel packaging.
