Thousands Turn Out For First Day Of Aretha Visitation
(Detroit, MI) — Several thousand people are expected to file through the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History again today to pay respects to Aretha Franklin. A long line of fans and mourners attended the first day of visitation for the Queen of Soul yesterday, coming to Detroit from all over the country. Her body will be moved to New Bethel Baptist Church tomorrow for a third day of visitation before her funeral Friday at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. The iconic singer’s family were the last visitors to arrive last night, making their first public appearances since her death.
