(Conway, SC) — Authorities say nearly half of the 46 counties in South Carolina are under a flood threat because of Hurricane Florence. In Conway, near the South Carolina coast, authorities say residents could see damage in homes that haven’t flooded before. They fear flood levels after Hurricane Florence could surpass the 2016 levels from Hurricane Matthew by well over four feet. The South Carolina Emergency Management Division reported yesterday that a number of rivers are expected to crest this weekend and early next week.
