According to the Illinois State Police, a 34-year-old Edgewood woman died in two vehicle accident last night. According to the preliminary investigation, a truck driven by Matthew Logsdon, of Beecher City, was eastbound on Shelby County Road 800 East when he failed to yield the right-of-way of a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Pana man. The Pana man’s vehicle struck the passenger side of Logdon’s vehicle. The Edgewood woman, who was a passenger in Logsdon’s truck, died at the scene. Logsdon was cited for driving under the influence and failure to yield the right of way.
