Gaetti Sports Academy Coming to Centralia

Former baseball star Gary Gaetti is giving back to his hometown. He broke ground on the Gaetti Sports Academy in Centralia. The academy is the first phase in a $4.6 million development of the former Meadow Woods Country Club near Raccoon Lake. Other former Major Leaguers from the area are helping develop the teaching aspects of the academy, including Kirk Rueter, of Hoyleton, and Cardinals’ bullpen coach and Centralia native, Bryan Eversgerd. Gaetti says the academy will be using HitTrax, which will provide real-time statistical analysis.
