It’s where your pinky looks dented because of the way you hold your phone. So people have been sharing photos of their crooked, swollen, and curved pinky fingers . . . and they’re all blaming it on their phones.
Here’s the good news: They’re worried over nothing. There’s a very, very small chance you’ve done any actual damage to your finger.
The director of the New York Hand and Wrist Center says, quote, “It’s no different than when you wear a sock with a tight elastic band and then you take it off. There’s a slight indentation for a brief period of time, but it corrects itself.”
