(New York, NY) — A study says live music sales will exceed 25-billion dollars by 2023. Consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers’ report forecasts live music ticket sales will increase to its highest-ever value from 2018 to 2023. It says sponsorships will drive about six-point-five-billion in additional revenue. The study also shows that the ten highest-grossing global tours from last year each had ticket sales that exceeded 100-million dollars. Ed Sheeran’s world tour became the highest grossing tour of all time. Taylor Swift had the highest grossing tour in the U.S. in 2018, followed by Beyonce and Jay-Z’s joint tour. The live music sector is expected to grow to an overall 31-point-five billion in the next four years.
