Back in December of 2017, a highway patrol trooper pulled over a 32-year-old guy named Manuel Paz Sanchez in Columbus, Montana.
Manuel gave the cop some sketchy details about where he was coming from and where he was headed. But he DID say he’d just been to Yellowstone National Park. And, apparently, to really prove it, he told the cop he’d seen Yogi Bear there.
Apparently he forgot that Yogi is actually from JELLYSTONE Park, not Yellowstone . . . and his comment made the cop suspicious enough to ask for permission to search the car.
Manuel said okay . . . and the cop found eight pounds of METH inside the spare tire in the trunk.
Manuel was arrested, and this past May, he pleaded guilty to possession of meth with intent to distribute.
And he just got his sentence: 15 years and eight months in prison.
